Which cable do I need?

The Halcyon Series require a USB C to C cable to connect both halves. Other than the connector, the cable needs to be able to transmit both power and data. A USB 2.0 cable is enough: a keyboard doesn't require a high-speed or high-power cable, though is compatible with them if you already have your own cable.

Why do the cables have elbow connectors?

The interconnect cable is to be connected to the "inner" side of your keyboard, on the faces closest to one another. Having an elbow connector for the cable clears up the space between the halves, allowing you to place a mouse, trackpad or a cup of your favourite beverage in between them - or to create a spot for your cat to lounge!

Of course, a cable with an elbow connector is not required: you can use any USB C to C cable, as long as it transmits both power and data.
