About Split Keyboards - Build Guide
Known issues
Check on the issues in our kits that we know about.
This is pretty important! We're a few revisions along, and we fixed all the things we ran into along the way. If you have an older revision kit, though, be sure to check your keyboard's Errata page.
Although we take great care into designing out keyboards, from time to time a mistake will creep in. This means the keyboard you received might have slight differences from the build guide.
This could include issues such as:
- Mislabeled components
- Inconsistent component orientation
- Hard-to-solder pins
It is important to be aware of these differences.
Look up your keyboard in the Changelogs & Errata section.
Check your keyboard's revision, using the marker on the PCB, then find your revision on the Errata page. Take note of its known issues. Each issue should mention what impact it will have for the building process.
