Elora
Changelogs and errata
See what changed and which issues we know of for the Elora keyboard.
Nothing is perfect from the start, so we're constantly working on improving the design of our keyboards. Here you can find what changed from version to version for the Elora PCB Kit.
Hardware
Rev1.0
- Initial version.
Firmware
Known issues
- The joystick and encoder modules may not work correctly. To resolve issue, please read the troubleshooting article "The Myriad Joystick card does not work at all".
Revision 1.4
- Updated the Vial version to be up to date as of March 26th, 2024.
- Implemented VBUS detection and enabled the split watchdog feature. This fixes keyboard booting and sleep issues.
- Add 100ms delay during Myriad card initialisation. It seems the onboard EEPROM chip needed more time to initialise, as setting up initial communication sometimes failed.
- Changed resolution of the encoder on the Myriad Encoder module to 2, to match actuations by turning with the detents you feel while turning it.
Revision 1.3
- RGB underglow now uses RGB Matrix for smoother animations.
- RGB underglow now syncs correctly between halves on keyboard startup.
- The Myriad Joystick module now works on either half as a mouse pointer or even on both halves. The behaviour cannot be configured through Vial, but you can configure this by forking our source code.
- The OLED display now also displays a graphic if you have only a single display connected on the peripheral side. If you'd like it to display the layer state, you should connect the USB cable to the half with the display instead.
Revision 1.2
- Fixed layout options not remaining saved after a keyboard reboot.
- Adds capability to configure the joystick button.
Revision 1.1
- Added the capability to select which layout options you use, to remove clutter from the keymap.
- Added the default layout configuration to firmware.splitkb.com, so you can more easily return to the defaults.
Revision 1.0
- Initial version.
