About Split Keyboards - Frequently Asked Questions
Most Kyria versions support hotswap
Most Kyria versions support hotswap! And the ones that don't, can be converted using Mill-Max sockets.
Hot swap allows you to remove or replace switches without soldering.
The Kyria rev3 has two versions that support hot swap:
- The MX version has specific hotswap sockets to support MX switches.
- The Choc version has specific hotswap sockets to support Kailh Choc low profile v1 switches.
The "Hand" version, as well as earlier revisions of the Kyria, do not support hotswap sockets natively. You can however still choose to hotswap the board still, using Millmax hot swap sockets.
