About Split Keyboards - Changelogs
Aurora Corne
See what changed and which issues we know of for the Aurora Corne keyboard.
Nothing is perfect from the start, so we're constantly working on improving the design of our keyboards. Here you can find what changed from version to version for the Aurora Corne PCB Kit.
Revision 1.1
In this minor revision, some oversights from revision 1.0 were fixed:
- Moved power switch: The previous location interfered with plates on Choc builds, so it now has a new home underneath the controller on the rear of the board.
- Visual changes: The "splitkb.com" logo on the back has been moved a few mm to make space for the power switch.

Revision 1.0
- Initial release
Known issues
- Power switch incompatibility: The power switch, used by wireless boards, is situated next to SW19 underneath the top plate. This means you can't install a power switch on Choc boards: regular FR4 / metal plates as sold by splitkb.com are about 1.5mm thick, which leaves 0.7mm for the switch. As the MSK12C02 switch used is 1.4mm thick, this will not work.
Note: this does not impact MX boards - they have 3.5mm of space left for the switch with a 1.5mm thick FR4 / metal plate, or 2mm with 3mm thick acrylic plates.
